The 2025 Sundown Audio SA8M sits at the top of the SA midrange and mid-bass lineup, built for enthusiasts who want serious output without sacrificing sound quality. Rated at 130 watts RMS and 250 watts max at 4 ohms, the SA8M has the motor strength and stroke to handle real power. It offers a wide usable range from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, backed by 9 mm of one-way linear excursion and a healthy 91.5 dB sensitivity. That combination lets the SA8M deliver real impact in the mid-bass region while keeping vocals and instruments clean and controlled.

Sundown built the SA8M around a ferrite motor, a large 2" voice coil, and a rigid aluminum basket with a rubber surround. Internally, it uses LE treatments similar to the SA-3M, including a pole sleeve and magnet ID Faraday ring, to reduce distortion and keep the response smooth. The suspension, surround, and spider were fully FEA-modeled and Klippel-verified to support its long stroke and low distortion behavior, just like a miniaturized high-excursion subwoofer.

Physically, the SA8M measures 8.26" across with a 7.28" cutout and 3.4" mounting depth, making it well-suited for upgraded doors, kicks, or custom pods.
